We’ve been working tirelessly to advocate for a Canada Disability Benefit. Now it’s time for the Government of Canada to step up and table a bill.

A bill is a proposed law that is introduced in either the House of Commons or the Senate.

Earlier this year, Disability Without Poverty submitted a petition to the Canadian Government calling for the speedy implementation of a Canadian Disability Benefit. That petition had 17874 signatures of support and was presented to the House of Commons by Green Party Caucus member Mike Morrice. Then, Bonita Zarillo, MP for Port Moody-Coquitlam, Anmore & Belcarra, put forward a motion to the House of Commons asking the government to table the Canadian Disability Benefit without delay. That motion passed unanimously.

Now, we want to know: Where’s the bill?
