Currently there is a petition circulating across Canada that will have influence on the potential for a Canada Disability Benefit.
The petition went LIVE on November the 12th and is open for 60 days. The petition needed at least 500 signatures to be read in the House of Commons and it had over 500 signatures in one single day.
In the petition Canadians ask the Government of Canada to put a Canada Disability Benefit at the front of the political agenda by:
“1. Fast-tracking the design and implementation of the Canada Disability Benefit; and
2. Actively and genuinely involving disabled people every step of the way to work alongside the government to make it happen.”
