RE: Call out for Team Members for Disability Pride Parade 2018
We are offering a unique opportunity for you to get involved with a great community-based event. We are getting ready for a Disability Pride Celebration and Parade taking place in Calgary on Sunday June 3rd, 2018 and we would love your support.
Disability Pride is an exciting international movement that is growing fast. Annual parades take place in Vancouver, Toronto, New York City, Chicago, and London, England. It’s time for our community here in Alberta to join in the celebration!
To learn more about the Disability Pride movement, check out this short video “The Story Behind Disability Pride 2017” that explores the meaning of Disability Pride in British Columbia.
The purpose of our parade is to “Build communities and create connections through celebration, education and empowerment.”
Our goal this year to have 3000 people gather and march into Olympic Plaza, one of the most significant gathering places for citizens and tourists from across our province.
You can be a part of this exciting event. We are looking for team members to help with the planning, execution and success of Calgary’s 2018 Disability Pride Parade. The planning team will meet once a month to coordinate the parade.
If you have a passion for disability pride and want to share your talents, please connect with us through the home page. We would love to match your talents with roles on our team. The Disability Pride Parade is proud to recognize its community partners. It is only through the generosity of community-minded people and organizations like yours that we are able to continue the delightful, innovative and inspiring activities that we do.
We hope you will be able to participate in Disability Pride 2018 and we look forward to hearing from you. You can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org
